Villa Gallini
Porto Carras Resort, Halhidiki, Greece

Work done while employed as staff architect at Porto Carras Resort

The project consists of a historic renovation of an 30,000 sf villa to include new
utilities, a new elevator, a new sauna and hammam, 5 new suites, and restoration
of existing suites,  fixtures and furnishings. The villa, which includes 17 suites, is
to be leased as a butique residence at the Porto Carras Resort.

Vicki's role as Project Architect included design &  plans for construction, as well
as working on site to overview every step of the restoration process. Vicki's role
included cataloguing the existing furniture, accessories and numerous books and
photographs, working with craftsmen to ensure the restoration of items which
required it, and supplementing existing items wih new purchases. In addition, new
custom furnishings, upholstery and light fixtures were designed and built to
complete the interior design.

Villa Gallini, was built in the 70's by architect Kapsampellis as a residence for the
original owner Yannis Carras. It was built in the monestary style of the nearby
Mount Athos, with all authentic materials. Notable guests of Villa Gallini  include
Salvador Dali, Francois Mitterand, Gina Bahauer, Melina Merkouri, Rudolph Nuryev,
and Konstantinos Karamanlis, among others.

Residence in Beverly Hills

Work done while employed at Landry Design Group, Architect of Record

The project consists of new construction of a 12,000 sf residence within an
existing community.

Vicki's role as Job Captain included working with an Associate to develop and
produce drawings and details for construction of the project, including
coordination with consulting engineers.

Ritz Cove Residence
Dana Pont, California

Work done while employed at Landry Design Group, Architect of Record

The project consists of new construction of a 5,600 sf residence within an existing
community.

Vicki's role as Job Captain included production of drawings and details for
construction and coordination with consulting engineers. A challenging aspect of
this project is the site design and drainage on a relatively small lot surrounded by
up-hill neighbors.
Pool Addition at Villa Gallini
Porto Carras Resort, Halhidiki, Greece

Work done while employed as staff architect at Porto Carras Resort

The project consists of new construction of a pool, jacuzzi, and entertainment
patio totalling 3,000 sf. The new pool area is built adjacent to the Villa, overhanging
the steep terrain, and includes a large subterranean storage area.

Vicki's role as Project Architect included design of the project & creating plans for
many hours on site to overview the construction process. The pool is a poured
concrete structure using local aggregate, with local stone for surafcing retaining
walls, and paved with historic slate removed from the lobby of Hotel Meliton to
blend in with its surroundings.

Palm Bay Homes
Miami, Florida

Work done while employed at Allan Shullman Architect, Architect of Record

The project consists of 5 new single family  2,000 sf - 2,500 sf homes, 2 models
types, on newly sub-divided waterfront property.

Vicki's role as Associate included working with the firm Principal and Owner to
design & develop the model floor plans and elevations. The project included a kit of
interchangable parts which the future owners could select from to build a custom
residence.

Hausner Residence
Miami Beach, Florida

Work done while employed at Studiolido, Architect of Record

The project consists of converting a single story home into a 2 story home with
roof top terraces to enjoy the view of the Venetian Isands. The area of the home
was doubled during renovation.

Vicki's role as Project Manager included working with the firm Principal and the
homeowner to develop the design and drawings for permit & construction. In
addition, Vicki worked wth the General Contractor and engineers throughout the
construction process to resolve the various issues which are inherent to such a
complex renovation/addition project.

Lower Village
Porto Carras Resort, Halhidiki, Greece

Work done while employed as staff architect at Porto Carras Resort
The Lower Village involves the re-use of abandoned foundations, and the
completion of this original village of several hundred villas. The site is directly
adjacent to the existing Marina and enroute to popular beaches and hotel.

Vicki's role as Project Architect included careful coordination with  surveyors,
engineers, and owner, to design 14 new villa plans, incorporated into existing
blocks of several at a time, using portions of existing foundations where possible.
The village was to retain the original traditional Northern Greek style envisioned by
the architect Kapsampellis. The project was transitioned and completed by a local
architect upon Vicki's departure from Greece.

Upper Village

Work done while employed as staff architect at Porto Carras Resort

The Upper Village project involves the development of a new site high up &
secluded in existing hills. New roads and several hundred villas will be built for
sale as vacation homes which can take advantage of all amenities of the Porto
Carras Resort.

Vicki's involvement as Project Architect included coordination with the surveying
team and owner to lay out new roads and the preliminary design of several new
villa floor plans. The project was transitioned and completed by a local architect
upon Vicki's departure from Greece.
